Free, every two weeks

Agriculture Pulse

A short briefing for farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses and everyone who works with them: the weather ahead, recent prices, open opportunities and what is new on AgricTrail. It takes under three minutes to read on a phone.

  • Every two weeks, in English, covering the whole of Nigeria.
  • By email now. On WhatsApp once our WhatsApp service is connected.
  • With a short voice note of the main points, for those who prefer to listen.

What is in each issue

Up to seven short sections. Each ends with one thing you can do on AgricTrail. A section with nothing real to report is dropped, not padded.

The Pulse in one line
The single most useful thing to know this fortnight.
Season and weather watch
What the coming weeks mean for planting, stocking, spraying or harvest, with a line for each part of Nigeria.
Market watch
Recent prices for a few key commodities, each with its source and date. Prices are information, not advice.
Opportunity board
Open grants, training and programmes, with deadlines and links.
Build update
What changed on AgricTrail, using the same Live, Pilot and Planned labels as this website.
Field note
Two or three sentences of practical advice from our founder, a farmer with over 25 years in agriculture.
Question of the issue
One simple question. Answers come back as totals in the next issue, only when at least 10 people replied.

How it is made

Real sources only

Every outside fact shows where it came from and when. Nothing is invented: if a section has nothing real to report, it is left out.

A person approves every issue

Drafts are prepared with AI help. Nothing is sent until our founder, or Obalolu Okeowo as backup, has read and approved it.

Totals, never individuals

No farmer, farm or cooperative can be identified. Named organisations appear only with their consent.

Content comes from public agriculture sources, such as weather, food price and government announcements, and from AgricTrail itself. Figures from AgricTrail users are shown only as totals, and only once at least 10 separate people contributed to them. Every issue ends with a line saying it was drafted with AI help and who reviewed it.

Latest issue

The first issue has not gone out yet. Sign up above and it will come to you as soon as it is approved. Past issues will be listed here.
